Phcas, I do not want to be a party crasher, but if your intention is to give the units a look as "vanilla" as possible, you should check the shadows. The ones present in your (last) icons, clearly are derived from mirroring the icon, which results in the two shadows pointing to opposite directions. Those icons will look strange when placed in the game map amogst the "normal" ones. Perhaps, you should chech any stock game icon to see how the shadows are casted (for example, the Opel Blitz truck). They look as the light source is coming from upside right of the icon for BOTH side views of the unit, so both shadows are projected pointing to the left of the icon.
Besides that, I congratulate you for adding a lot of interesting stuff!

Nice gfx. But how could ambulance or recovery units work in-game? Any good ideas?

Recovery, Tanktransport and HQ units can work in the game. See the section "Switch Button". Ambulances can not work in the game yet. With the Switch button you can let a Ambulance carry a fieldhospital. This has no use unless you put it into a scenario as a "must survive" unit.

Soviet Mine Dogs + movement sound
Use the "Kamikaze" option like the V1 and V2 and your dogs will blast in pieces taking out that german panzer. (DMP dog used) Use Initiative of 10 or more.

Damn - animal units are an awesome idea. (But no sounds for them)
I'll begin downloading those staff cars when I get 'round to working on the Path to Rearmament again (2 updates to release first - for War of the World and Kaiserschlacht/GC14)

Thank you rezaf. All together by using each other's units/work we will be able to make the perfect MOD.......... It's very nice to hear sometimes that people like and can use my work like I use the work of others. Thanks again.
