DRAW

Being the map clearly divided in a rough & hilly southern sector and a plain northern one, with the Judeans MF nestled on the wolds and the Seleucid HF placed in the open, only a fool (or a genius) could attack the enemy on his terrain.
But the Seleucid Commander, aspiring to the title of Great General, tried an attack on his left flank hoping to catch the Judaeans off balance.
Repulsed with heavy losses it was the time of the Judaean Commander to show his skill on the plain, where he lost about a third of his army.
Got finally to the point, the two Commanders (neither of them having conquered the title of Great General) settled their differences exchanging gifts and wine while the soldiers contracted mixed marriages with the women of the opposite camp!

(So many words just to say that the Judaeans won their first, and probably last, point of their seasonal campaign).

Again its not showing the army name, and I did tick the box, honest

Div A:
Tiavals(late repub roman) 27/36 vs Morbio(anc. british) 46/45
The barbarians were holed up on a hill and bad terrain, with treacherous roman allies in their midst. Luckily the clever real romans had superior ranged firepower and whittled some barbarians so they became disorderly. A charge at the unit caused ripples in the ranks and the barbarians had become disorganized. Victory seemed certain until the enemy crushed a roman strike group at the flank and regrouped most efficiently, barring access to the hill until much later. Using the inability of the romans to advance, the barbarians struck out at vulnerable roman units halfway in the terrain. If not for the roman breakthrough at the flank and thus harassing the rear of the enemy, the battle would have likely been lost.

The Indians scurried about on a wide open plain surrounded by steep hills. The Romans moved delibaretly forward but couldn't avoid being spread out.
Still they put Indian bowmen that moved too slow to the sword one after the other. Reaching the hills didn't slow them down very much. A couple of elephants did though!
I don't think I've ever seen such a strong performance by the skittish big brutes
Some legionaries routed however and that was enough to open up gaps in the Roman lines. Numbers and rear charges proved too much in the end for them...and elephants...

Ironclad (Later Alex Macedonians) 23/41 vs Philoi (26th Dyn Egyptians) 51/50

The Macedonian right of mediums deployed through wooden terrain to hold and then overcame the enemy left with the help of cavalry reinforcements switched early from the other flank. This was matched in the centre as the main pike phalanx defeated the facing hoplites. Throughout this fighting the long Egyptian right flank pushed forward vigorously against mainly light opposition who kept up a running fight into rough terrain; its success against a blocking detachment of phalanx and heavy cavalry coming too late to turn the tide. Good fight.
