The next version of the mod will be adapted to be played with the new 1.10 patch. It will be a complete new package, with some new sounds I've added for AK and with some of the old attack sounds revamped revamped. In the case of the SS units, not all of them will play Lieders, and it only be played randomly, one in three chances. Some user reported that it sounded to repetitive after a few turns.

It's a sound of moving column climbing and walking in small grove. It's not the ideal sound, but I wasn't able to find one better... so far. No tracks nor axles just flasks and some soldier equipment clanking.

It's basically ready, I'm just finishing the last touches. So probably tomorrow or Monday I'll release it. :)

I had a busy week and a half in overhauling almost all non infantry units attack sounds. I want it to get ready for AK.

I am very much impressed with your modifications, VP. About the only sound I had been disappointed with was the Tiger firing sfx. I think it sounds awesome now, everything sounds better.

The 88 sounds like the ones in Triumph of the Will, though from memory. I haven't verified.

There are 6 variants for Tiger sound. If you want you can use any of them. Tiger I uses Tiger_88mm_6 and Tiger_88mm_1 for attack sounds but you can switch if you want.
I was always tempted to make it sound more powerful, but it's a 8.8 gun and I had to balance between 75mm and more powerful calibre guns and at the same time did sound different from Flak AT 8.8. And I had to had a few extra versions for Tiger II gun for example that should sound also a little more powerful. This was the best I could do.
I've never watched the "Triumph of the Will" only watched small excerpts. But the sound of the Flak 8.8 was done using as base a real sound of a replica firing... blanks. I guess I've added a little extra flavour to the blank sound.
For the Tiger 8.8 I've used one Tiger replica shooting a... blank. Another extra flavour. :wink:

Thx for updating it VPaulus. Now with yours and Scott mod updated the game is back to the look and feel (and sound) i so get used to. :)

Original Weekly German Newsreels...the vanilla ingame-sounds used for all german Werfers are a complete fail

It was based in some German newsreel that chris sent me. I was able to isolate the howls and other launching sounds and mixed with other sound effects.

The transport sdkfz 251 is spelled Sdkfz _251 with a space between. Does this have anything to do with why it is still available as heavy flak transport?
