When faced with the choice of the hiding in the forest or meet the cataphracts and other assorted lancers in the open plains the forest looked pretty attractive. The visigoths and their Carpi allies then sent an invitation to the Armenians to join them in the woods for a picnic. However they had already eaten so declined the invitation. After 15 turns of exchanging invitations and little else both sides had an afternoon nap and the respective generals wandered off while the troops slept.
