25mm had 13 breaks in 24 games

FoG R has 17 in 52 (although my gut feel is they have more in the 17-19 point range as well)
It may also just be the effect of me giving up AM and moving to FoG:R, as I was quite often contributing 3-4 breaks out of 4 to the totals.....

He therefore may not see the same side that i have seen grow over this last year in FOG from the mid tables.
Oh I factor that in.

But shockingly Phil I think has some valuable insights that if the authors listened to them, would evolve the game more to your liking than you realize.

wouldn't 900pt armies stop "benny hilling", bigger armies less space to run too. seemed to me it did at Derby in the byzantine period. even with lots of light horse about.

in the classical period comp the armies at warfare were small tough foot armies (on the whole) and did not cover much table (or so it seemed to me). more space on the table means more room to run into.

anyway i just want to fill the tables up with more toys!

Hi Dave

As has been mentioned before 900 points will favour some armies and not others but it would be nice to have varied points at different competitions. I suppose we do a little with Rampage, Derby Teams and the 650's.

Are you going to be there this weekend to keep your rich vein of form going?

IMO 900 points is rather a good one for FoG.

It is interesting that in the 650pt competitions in Australia and New Zealand that they are resulting in 90%+ army breaks. I believe this indicates that format has balanced table size, time and points well. It would be good to see in the South Pacific if 900pts on 6x4 would have the same effect.

One significant deciding factor in the 650pts is that we are seeing only 1 or 2 air and grit armies and they are performing poorly.

I think a 5x3 has a lot to do with that not just 650

As a 25mm player I would like all 25mm FOG am games to move over to 40mm = 1 MU for movement only :D

With experience of both army types at 650 points on a 5 by 3 table.

It allows the foot a chance to bash it up and still is viable for LH armies if used correctly.
