Young Byron, IIRC , was other 25mm.
Great fun weekend. My highlight was surviving with Numidians vs Graham Brigg's EAP.
The two envelopments took a bit of a circuitous route!

Indeed - one turning up just too late to save the imitation legions, one just as the sun went down. Which was fortunate giving it was tough enough slogging though the IC fuelled skirmish screen and sacrificial legions as it was!
A good weekend all round. My result was helped no end by my opponents dice rolling abilities:
Martyn Simpson's for Hannibals Gallic cavalry managing to frag having taken two rounds of shooting.
Ian Stewart for Bosporans who'd forgotten their lances (charged bow sword cavalry, bow sword cavalry and Immortals. After the impact and melee no damage to Persia, the critical group of lancers fragged and down two bases)
Simon for the missing flank marches.
Jason Broomer for armoured MF and HI Pike facing LF bow (fragged, routed). And a special mention for throwing a 6 when least required: cataphracts routing towards my base edge 6MU and so just managing to burst through two friendly units (and then again in the JAP....).
Many thanks to the organisers - a new venue is always a bigger challenge.

Indeed an excellent event and venue - already looking forward to next year.
Can I also add a shameless plug for the variable points comp at Rampage Ilford June 25/6th.
700/800/900 points variants of an army - use 800 twice and 900/700 each once. So uneven games and an added twist. Ability to conceal troops somewhat as well - is that 700pts on the table everything or not?
Has worked really well last 2 years - see reviews on forum.
15mm and 25mm open comps.
Full details on ilford website - same as last year if this years version not yet posted.

Simon ,can you confirm the format as the Rampage website is saying 800pts any list,a varible list might convince Lynda and I to go ,it may be a bit to tiring for her

Here's a link to the Rampage site - looks like the same format as last year.

I've just submitted my 3 army lists David so I hope that you and Lynda are able to make it.

I was probably looking at an old one,I'll see how she feels, she wasn't quite as tired after Roll Call as she was after the Challenge

It's funny, that's exactly what Lynda said about you too.

Yes we've found a way.
Same format as last year
I will do list checking
Terry will run it for us
I will miss it - but i am sure I will be busy enough and tired enough not to notice.
