Geffalrus (Antigonids) and Rosedelio (Pontus) draw 31-40

Hell of a match. The entire first half of the match was spent with the Antigonids trying desperately to control the Pontic skirmisher population that was clearly out of control. Using their entire army, they managed to eliminate a few light units, but at the cost of persistent casualties among the pikes and lancers. And then the Pontic horde of imitation legions and thureophoroi arrived. The Antigonids thought they had their flanks protected, but that turned out to be a........miscalculation. Antigonid power units did allow them to crush some enemies frontally, but many pikes and elephants were dragged down through rolling flank attacks. Neither side could claim a decisive knock out, however. Routed units started rallying, and when the dust settled, the Antigonids gained more points from the rallied pike units that they could protect than the Pontics did. An honorable draw by nightfall was achieved. Great game to my opponent. I needed to break out all of my tricks and then some.

A hard fought battle yet again, The Hill in the center changed hands more than once. I was lucky to keep his Massed Archers busy with my Light Cavalry on the flank. And the other flank was some what of a draw, while my massed Roman Infantry drove into the center supported by my Heavy Arty and won the day. A hard victory for sure. Thanks for a great game DirtyMark.

Geffalrus (Antigonids) defeats MarcoCato75 (Seleucids) 42-11

Took some time to finish as the Antigonids went heavy into skirmishers due to the stream and rough in the center of the map (the pikes and lancers all have water related allergies). Most of the match was spent in skirmishing, and it was only towards the very end that melee was joined. Skirmishing wore down enough of the Seleucid support infantry that the Antigonid cavalry were able to sneak one unit into the back line and rear charge the pike line.
