TomoeGozen's Scottish vacation in Norway has ended in disaster...
TomoeGozen (Scots) loses (badly!) to Aetius (Vikings).
The Scottish spearmen were not interested, they couldn't find haggis anywhere and decided to pack it in and go home. (If it wasn't for heroics from the Huscarls in the centre this battle would have been even more embarrassing than it was!)
Thanks to Aetius for another good game , I shall have my revenge another time
Thanks for report, Dave! Table (first post) is now updated (place retained, armies as always switched):
3.
Aetius39 Scots 851-1051 AD
5.
TomoeGozen Viking (Ireland) 900-1049 AD
And so is the game schedule (fourth post).

Addition to the rules:
- A player must wait 24 hours after having posted the result of a game (in which he was the challenger) before being allowed to make a new challenge.
This is in order to give other players some time and chance to make challenges, but at the same time we wouldn't want to keep that waiting period too long since active players should be encouraged.
Please also note that this rule already in place:
- Challenges can be neither stored nor put on a waiting list or in a backlog, etc.

Battle joined by turn 3 and just blazed up like wildfire. Swarms of light cavalry chasing each other all over the place, lance cavalry charging back and forth, arrows coming down like hail and infantry lines surging onwards. On and on and finally the Syrian Arabs barely staggered over the finish line with the hairy beast North Africans close behind. What a battle! Thanks for the game Imatsun and till we meet again.
Jagger's Syrian Arabs with a tough victory over Imatsun's North African Arabs. I believe that gives me Indian Rajputs and Imatsun my Syrian Arabs.

Correct, you switch armies exactly as you have suggested (since the Indian Rajputs was the army Imatson had when you concluded the game) and places too:
12.
Jagger2002 Indian (Rajput) 650-1049 AD
15.
imatson2527 Arab (Syria/Iraq) 890-1008 AD
First and fourth posts are updated.

Hi All
I am using the Rajputs vs Deeter's Spanish at the moment.
Andreas, I checked the list and you hadn't swapped armies around between Bobganoush and I.
See posts 11 to 14 on page 5
Not sure what army Bob has he has never fought the Rus or the player who was using it at the time?

Darn it.
Bob beat me on the 17th Decembe and I managed a win vs Isaac on the 16th. I/we forgot to post it and that is why I am using Rajput
You received Rus on the 16th and transferred Rus on to BobGanoush on the 17th.
So first post holds up well. Please note that armies to be switched are the ones held (as per first post and rules) when switch is made (not necessarily the ones you two fought with). Which will work much better (because armies held will then equal armies fought with) when everyone's down to one game at a time.
But still very important that everybody (i.e., the challengers) report results immediately after games are concluded and let me do the switching. And finally to give me some time to update first and fourth posts.

Please note that I've rearranged the posts in this thread and the other EGL threads so that:
- Game Schedule is now the second post.
- Available Armies is now the fourth post.

Hi All
11 ericdoman1 Indian (Rajput) 650-1049 AD with Hindu Indian (North) Allies
wins against
9 deeter Spanish 900-1049 AD
I guess we swap armies now? 24 hours before I can challenge or be challenged.

wellsonian (anglo-saxon) defeated BobGanoush (Hindu Indian). Thanks for the fun game! Once I resisted the charge of the Elephants, I was slowly able to turn the tide.

Correct: you can consider your armies swapped already. Will update first and second posts shortly.

Almost correct: 24 hours before you can challenge. But you can be challenged already now.

So when your game was concluded, ericdoman1 had Arab (North Africa) 789-999 AD and deeter Spanish 900-1049 AD, which are the armies you are thus swapping with each other (plus each other's places), to result in the following current situation in the table:
9.
ericdoman1 Spanish 900-1049 AD
11.
deeter Arab (North Africa) 789-999 AD

Based on the same rules, you guys swap BobGanoush's Rus 860-959 AD versus Wellsonian's Anglo-Saxon 871-949 AD (but not the places since Wellsonian in 8th won over BobGanoush in 10th), resulting in the following current situation in the table:
8.
Wellsonian Rus 860-959 AD
10.
BobGanoush Anglo-Saxon 871-949 AD

schmolywar has accepted my challenge, thus
7 (4)
kronenblatt Navarrese 900-1049 AD
challenges
1
schmolywar Byzantine 740-903 AD
Please note that when I made the challenge (yesterday evening) I was in 4th place and thus entitled to challenge. After that and at the time the challenge was accepted (today), I had fallen to 7th place. But I will still consider myself entitled to challenge and thus the challenge remains effective, albeit with a different army (the one I have now, when the challenge was accepted). And FP subtraction can never exceed 60 FP in any event, so 1600 FP for kronenblatt and 1540 FP for schmolywar.
I'm supplementing the rules with clarifications such as those above, as and when loopholes become apparent. Hope for your understanding that this is and will continue to be work-in-progress.
7 (4)
kronenblatt Navarrese 900-1049 AD drew with 1
schmolywar Byzantine 740-903 AD.
This results in a swap of armies but not swap of places, i.e.,
1.
schmolywar Navarrese 900-1049 AD
7.
kronenblatt Byzantine 740-903 AD
First and second posts updated.
