Both are good guesses, my pick would be a training mission to prepare for the invasion of France and the Low Countries set at a "secret" location in Czechoslovakia.adiekmann wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 10:52 pm The most obvious one is the 2nd one: "Undisclosed Location: CZ." The only ideas that I could come up with are "Czechoslovakia" or "costal zone." Could this be a 2nd Norway scenario where you invade Norway by sea somewhere after you have seized the primary airport near Oslo? Or is it the other training mission that Kerensky mentioned?
Yes, that was one possibility that I thought of along with of course CZ being short for Czechoslovakia. The Czech frontier defenses were closely modeled after the Maginot Line and the Germans studied them in depth to get some ideas of how to crack them.Rhaeg wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 2:53 pmBoth are good guesses, my pick would be a training mission to prepare for the invasion of France and the Low Countries set at a "secret" location in Czechoslovakia.adiekmann wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 10:52 pm The most obvious one is the 2nd one: "Undisclosed Location: CZ." Sounds like the perfect historical backdrop to set up a newly implemented Training Scenario mission types. We'll see if the designers were that smart and did their research good enough to have done that.adiekmann wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:05 pm

Which 'British' scenario will be aircraft only?Kerensky wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 7:40 pmSounds like the perfect historical precedent to set up a newly implemented Training Scenario mission types. In which battle[s] did the German ARMY not attack Allied Troops.
You say it's obvious, but it was not an optional scenario in it's initial iteration. Only after the fact was this realized, and the scenario converted into an 'optional' mission.dalfrede wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 8:03 pm
and obviously an option since 'no airforce' trait would make it unwinnable.
So finally there will be Seelowe or the classic air battle ?dalfrede wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 8:03 pmIn which battle[s] did the German ARMY not attack Allied Troops.
Were it Dover would the next three battles also be aircraft only?
Note: there is no 'aircraft only' scenario, it is an only German Core used are aircraft scenario,
and obviously an option since 'no airforce' trait would make it unwinnable.
In the original main campaign Beta I noticed this as a problem at Dunkirk where sinking 10 ships was a main objective.Kerensky wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 8:45 pmYou say it's obvious, but it was not an optional scenario in it's initial iteration. This has me a bit worried. To maximize my positive general traits, I planned ahead to have denied air force and denied artillery for 1940. I captured enough (I hope!) Russian made artillery to last all of 1939 and 1940. Second, I bought extra fighters and a couple bf 110s and rotated them into some of the AO39 battles so they'd gain some experience. Since updates to both the Ju 87B and the bf109 E don't come until 1941 and I figured I can live with the He 111s, I can afford denied aircraft.Kerensky wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2020 8:45 pmYou say it's obvious, but it was not an optional scenario in it's initial iteration. The default army will not have 6 fighters so you will better off that way than those who don't import a large developed force.adiekmann wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2020 6:49 am But now I am a little concerned...it depends on how the scenario are designed, but otherwise I would think I am still okay. 6 109s should be enough I would think.
Whoa! So you haven't denied yourself planes or arty at all, then! Sly, sly fox......adiekmann wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2020 6:49 amThis has me a bit worried. It just shows "Coming Soon!" on the store page for the DLC for me. Where do you see a specific date?adiekmann wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 7:12 amOn Steam it gives the release date of December 10th.Buffalohump wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 1:35 am
Awesome looking content, when can we look forward to release with a rough estimate?
Regards,
Wow! Nobody ever seems to believe me...Scrapulous wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 6:15 pmIt just shows "Coming Soon!" on the store page for the DLC for me. Don't take it as a referendum on your personal credibility. I regard you as trustworthy. Imagine rather that I am like a child on November 25 who is told that "Christmas is a whole month away," and who tries to find reasons not to believe it. The potential of "Coming soon!" is more comforting than the hard reality of December 10
I hear you. I too felt the same thing and was saddened by the the far away date when I first saw it too. But that goes to show that we are never happy I suppose. I still am glad they announced it now as it's good to know the scenario list and a few details.Scrapulous wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:22 pmDon't take it as a referendum on your personal credibility. I followed your instructions and see what you see. Thanks for explaining!
Trying to do this before end of October, stay tuned.
Indeed! I watched that live announcement event and was kinda sad that ao40 is that far away :/Scrapulous wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:22 pm The potential of "Coming soon!" is more comforting than the hard reality of December 10![]()
I was, too. I inferred from SCW and '39 that it took about a month to make a DLC of that quality. But I don't complain. I think this is a case where quality is much better than quantity. Waiting until Dec 10 for another very good DLC is just fine with me, if that's what it takes to deliver quality.Bee1976 wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:41 am
