That is indeed an error. Splitting a group should recalculate those numbers.

In deployment for Cherbourg scenario. I've split 3rd Armoured into regiments as I want to send tanks down 2 roads. The original unit for 3rd army has not adjusted it's total troops and now shows high casualties.

BTW, as this is the planning stage it would be useful to be able to reassemble the unit again.
