Anti-aircraft artillery

Post by TangSooDo »

I am sure the answer to my question lies somewhere in the manual, but I'm an old wargamer and after some searching haven't found an answer to this: In the Dunkirk scenario of the 39-45 campaign there is an auxiliary AA unit. If enemy aircraft fly into its range on their turn and attack, the AA unit fires at them; however, in my turn I cannot fire at the enemy aircraft whether moving or remaining stationary. Can someone help me out with an explanation?

Rain? Typically the player moves first, which means they're also the first to be affected by bad weather. It's very frustrating, but I've often been unable to finish off the AI's out-of-position aircraft due to a change in weather.

It's possible changing weather is responsible.

Also keep in mind AA units have limited firing range, and that they must be in their AA mode to engage AA targets. Perhaps they have been swapped to AT, and need to be swapped back?

Thanks guys -- it must have been rain as I was in range. It's working as expected on the next turn.
