Gates of Troy for Mac

Post by bajsapa »

Hi.
My question is: Why was the Mac version of GoT (ported by VPLTD) revoked by Slitherine? I own a Mac, and although I enjoy playing Spartan quite a lot I would also like to play the "sequel". Apparently there used to exist a Mac version, but there's no way to get a hold of a copy now.

The oroginal deal with VP has expired and we could not come to terms on an ongoing basis so unfortunately it's been dropped from their catalogue.

I figured as much. Listen, I know you guys must have a keen business mind in order to succeed. However, I encourage you guys to revisit this. The Mac versions of Spartan and GoT will continue to sell modestly but steadily. Plus, I need the graphics bug repaired. ;)

If we got paid for the modest sales we'd be happy ;)

Meaning nothing, or not enough? I know you guys don't want to discuss this here, so no hurt feelings if you don't respond to that. However, we [Mac users] would love to see it available. 8)

We'd certainly be supporting it if we could. Sorry :(

Couldn't you just run the PC version using an emulator?

It's not like the game is at all demanding, resource-wise...
