Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun is a turn-based tactical and strategic game set during this turbulent time; primarily focusing on the Japanese Warring States period and Japanese Invasion of Korea. Other armies from East Asia are also made available to simulate different conflicts across the region.
While you’re waiting for Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun, you can have a taste of the game by looking at the five new screenshots we just released.
The game is going to be released on Thursday May 19 on PC. It will also be available in a Collector’s Edition, containing additional content for the ultimate Sengoku Jidai experience!
You can find more information on its product page here.
I notice that in these screenshots the units have a graphical symbol next to the flag; a handgun, spear, bow etc. I have not seen these in previous screenshots. Is this a graphical feature that can be turned on or off to help identify what type of units they have?

Hello Paul59
You are quite correct, these icons are a player aide that indicate a unit's main combat role and they can be turned off (in Options > Advanced Options).
They were added quite late in development as it was felt a unit's main combat arm might not be so apparent in Sengoku Jidai compared to Pike & Shot
