No 'Kill shots' in yet?

Post by Uncle_Joe »

From the rulebook (unofficial rewrite):

Kill Shots: Attack Roll = Defense x2!
A kill shot is an attack roll that ties or exceeds a number equal to
twice the target's defense (with all bonuses and penalties
included). This immediately destroys the unit, even heavy vehicles
or infantry with (flip symbol)!

As of this time, this does not appear to be modeled in the PC game. Is this a deliberate omission and if so why and if not, is it planned for the future?

What about the 2x suppression markers for a suppression 'kill shot'? I haven't confirmed if that is in the PC game or not but it's pretty important for suppression later in the turn.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi, uncle_joe!

I made some checks, and you're right, there are problems with the current implementation of the kill-shot:

1) The double suppressive fire in case of "suppression kill shot" works fine.
2) The kill-shot is often not considered for infantries, and it's never considered for heavy vehicles.

I fixed it, and it now works properly in our build. You will find the fix in one of our next patches (not the next one, since it's already on the way :)).

Thanks for pointing this out!
