Test to Advance

It seems to me that the definition of an advance is flawed when it comes to having to test to advance after taking a hit from shooting. If I am facing away from the enemy and take one hit, I need to test to move away from the enemy, as this is advancing further forward than my original front edge? Has this been discussed before? Maybe it needs a tweak?

Dead. and I have always played it as an 'advance' implies moving closer to enemy and/or moving closer to the enemy base edge. This has come up before. Wander back through the postings and it will be there.
