Playing byblos, liberally building temples, doctors and libraries inyto every town.
In the beginning i had bronze, animals.. ie getting to build stables.. organisation etc..
But when can i build cities?
I have a dozen large towns built out (almost) to the max, and id really like to have my settlements perfected: the 3 civ buildings, stables+++, 3 resource and a wonder

Damn i love those na´herin wagons...!! just massacering the enemys 8-prole armies.. (too bad i didnt figure out at first stables are a separate building... and burned a dozen baracks)
Took a while for me to figure out the resource system aswell, which meand i had to redesign a large part of the villages too.. burning gathering points that dont make any sense. Like 3+ BM^3 when that city had wood -7... or the one with BM^8 i had dedicated to food^4.. hahah!
Oh yeah, and constantly short on BM too.
Making maybe 1700, and buying another 2000

Oh yeah, are the forts meant to be near useless?
Because I dont like to keep armies in my cities, and even if theres a garrison of 3, but no army.... they wont put up a fight. Which sucks big time.
So i burnt my forts, making place for moire economy and stables.
Would be nice to get guilds and the rest of the university building tree too towards universal education.. along with universal healthcare.
Temple complexes would be nice too.
