how do you make city walls?

hey i made my castle and upgraded all the way to large castle but i cant upgrade that into city walls

The Spartans cannot build them as they thought their soldiers were a human wall.

In the game, every nation can build them.

You need Bricks tech level 8, I think. Perhaps it's 7. Anyhow, if you can build Large Fort, you're almost there.

The walls themselves are a separate structure, and DO take up a building slot, which sucks. You cannot upgrade a castle into walls. They are separate concepts and do separate things.

Note that Walls come in three levels of quality.

heh.. a classic case of that "fox and the berries"... if i cannot have it, i never really wanted it at all in the first place
