Volenteer pop ups for germany

Hi guys

In a game playing the Axis vs Dan recently i had a free volantary SS mech unit pop up at the end of the year instead of a normal garrison. Can that happen or is it a bug? In the games defense we do not play the same version and get checksum errors when loading the game....so that could be a factor?

In another game Denmark was invaded and captured, normally after a certain date the Greenland airbases will fall into the hands of US. But even at the end of 42 they were still out of play....does it ring a bell? Same here, we do get checksum errors when loading the game....also that might be a factor here.

Hi,

If you are getting checksum errors that means you and your opponent are playing with different versions.

Example if the German player starts a game with v2.0 and the allied player player is playing a beta version this will cause checksum errors and the game will not play right.

The engine will switch back and forth applying the game rules for that version and then back for the other version.

You have to play the game with the same version. Also checksum errors can also mean that the data files have been adjusted in some way.

You can play a game with different values as long as you keep the original files safe and both you and your opponent have the same changes to the files in question and installed for that game. You have to remember that if you play a different person with the standard files you must ensure that those are in place for that game.

As far as the garrison I do not know, but you are getting checksum errors and that could be the possible cause. The same with the airbase.

As a germany you get SS mech volunteer in 1943 and SS infantry in 1944.
Only first 3 are garrisons.
