Hi All,
Would the later Danish have worn the same uniforms as the League of Augsburg and Louis XIV?

Re: Later Danish
It depends on the date. See the various links on Danish uniforms that have been kindly supplied in the Anglo-Dutch thread.ravenflight wrote:Hi All,

It seems likely that some of the uniforms were changed in 1691.
Some of the senior infantry units wore blue coats in 1676, and probably still wore them in 1690 at the Boyne, but they had changed to light grey coats, like most of the territorial regiments, in the list of 1691.

Re: Later Danish
Sorry Richard, what I meant was the cut of cloth, not the colour. From what I (most probably mistakenly) believe, everone wore the same coats etc, no matter if you were British, Savoyard, or ?Later Danish?rbodleyscott wrote:ravenflight wrote:It depends on the date. I did wonder if you meant that. Well, those links have pictures of the uniforms, not just colour details, and the cut looks pretty similar to me.ravenflight wrote:rbodleyscott wrote:ravenflight wrote:Sorry Richard, what I meant was the cut of cloth, not the colour. Good luck with getting anything other than fairly generic figures anyway.
I am certainly using the same figures for Danish as for English, Irish and Dutch regiments.
Re: Later Danish
There was a slight difference in the cut of the cloth, but I wouldn't and haven't worried about that when painting my Danish units up.
