Installation problem
Having just downloaded version 2.05 beta, I cannot open the game. It tells me that installation is successful and I am able to access the game's front screen, but then receive the message that there is a CRC installation problem and to try installing the game again. This I have done with similar result.

Re: Installation problem
You need to have the full game installed as well to be part of the beta. This sounds like the issue.

Re: Installation problem
The full game, as purchased, was installed. As I cannot at present find my original back-up installation disc, I can only continue reloading the latest 2.05. Any suggestions or have I lost my purchased original forever?

Re: Installation problem
Sorry, have found the original installed Battle Academy under 'All Progs' and it still works. However, the Beta 2.05 continues to show CRC error and folds its arms.

Re: Installation problem
Did you uninstall the old beta first? It sounds like you might need to tweak the registry, as it sounds like an old SL Beta key is left in there.
Open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE
(if you are running on W7_64 then you will need to then open Wow6432Node)
Open Slitherine/BBCBA. Now look for any key with a value starting with a $ symbol. If you see any delete them. That should fix the issue.

Re: Installation problem
Thanks, job done in spite of warning message about possible 'instability'. BA works fine
