Light guns depth of base

Post by clogs4444 »

The base depth of art 80mm is much too deep for light guns, can it be shorter, ie 60 or 40 mm?
Would this bea problem in a comp game?

Many thanks for your reply

I presume you are playing the 25/28mm scale?

I think you can easily do 60mm a base width as depth and make it a square piece. without a problem.

I'd not go thinner if possible as the square base has certain simplicity for flanking moves and supported artillery etc.

Does this apply to Swedish TYW regimental guns?

Regimental gun markers are just that - markers. Therefore in theory they can be any shape or depth you want. In 15mm I've seen round markers and all types of oblongs. My own are 20 mm deep in 15mm and 40mm deep in 25 mm with just 2 crew purely for aesthetic purposes.
