For the existing players here are the changes in RC3.

Final scenario descriptions and campaign descriptions added.
SS units renamed to "elite" units for age rating reasons.
Double click support in Load/Save dialog
Rebalanced the 5 default difficulty levels. Also, winning the game on Field Marshal level opens 3 bonus difficulty levels.
Tweaked hero portraits - sailors removed, the rest distributed between "air" and "ground" categories.
Balance tweaks in scenarios and equipment file.
Minor graphics improvements and tweaks.
A lot of bug fixes and polishing everywhere. In particular, purchase screen mouse problems should be fixed, refresh rate problems solved, in combat prediction attacker is always shown on the left.
Manual added to the package - available from the start menu after installing
Launcher removed the 16bpp options

Thanks for helping us make this in to a great game!

Now go and have some fun!

Don't know if someone mentioned it before, but when you uninstall Panzer Corps, as I did with RC2 to install RC3 afterwards, you are not able to uninstall an other program/game. It gives the message "Please wait until the deinstallation/change of the current program has finished" (translated from the german message). I'm running Windows 7 x64.

After I restart my PC it works fine again. This was also the case with previous beta versions, but I forgot to post it. Can you fix that please?

I use the same Windows version, but don`t have that problem. It seems to me as a Windows registry problem, I had it before SP1 as well, so make sure you have the latest version. But Alex will know for sure.

In any case try and get CCleaner, it is free and have a clean of your registry. As a personal advise buy TuneUp Utilities on top, has a free trial period, it keeps my Windows running as new. Great software.

My only problem in XP, and I don't know if it's related to yours in Win7, is it gives me after uninstalling it. At least with RC1 and RC2.

Code: Select all

Faulting application uninstall.exe, version 9.0.1.0, faulting module uninstall.exe, version 9.0.1.0, fault address 0x001b3f14.
And this happened in all the computers where I've tried to run PzC with XP.

At last we have a manual! :D

Now, after looking through it a little, I see a number of mistakes. Do you need a proofreader/editor to clean those mistakes up? If so, PM me (or email me).
