Maori is an easy FoG list.
With all their weapons being about half a dozen different styles of wooden and stone clubs including the 5-6' long Taiahu (big club bro).
No armour.
No emphasis on shock.
Ambush your enemy or if you get busted perform a haka and then "cook me some eggs". Most Maori fortresses (Pa) had more escape routes than entrances.
War parties numbering 70 to 140 warriors. (Female warriors not uncommon)
They don't even qualify for a single BG. But if they did......
Field of Glory would get its first single line army list? (not sure about this one - is there a single line list in FoG trendsetters?)
Medium Foot, Unprotected, Undrilled, Light Spear........................how many? "Heaps bro!"

We did consider including these armies when putting 'Blood and Gold' together. We decided against. Mostly because the great majority of evidence was far later than the period of the rules. We also struggled with finding any evidence that army sized groupings were used for some of the island nations.
I don't think there are any one line lists in FoG. We very nearly got there with the Tupi, but Richard thought they should have some light foot as well. Neil Howard took the proper approach when using Tupi at Britcon this year - no LF.

I thought of doing a Maori list and was going to hijack the Tupi list, just change the figs/painting to adjust...

They would not be rated as pikes in FOGAM but as Offensive Spearmen.razadecon wrote:Ok if you were to put in the Hawiian pikesmen what list would you use?
There are Hawaiian and Maori lists for FOGR. They are in the 4th army list book, Colonies and Conquest.
The Canari list from Blood and Gold is the closest to the Hawaiian, but the actual FOGR Hawaiian list has more choice of troop ratings. However, a legal Canari list would be a legal Hawaiian list.
