A NEW SMALL CAMPAIGN

There is no peace among the stars: the Imperium of Man is beset on all sides by all kinds of threats. Among them is the Orks, a barbaric and warlike xeno race. One of their fiercest leaders, Grukk Face-Rippa, leads his Red Waaagh! in the Sanctus Reach system...

A NEW SMALL CAMPAIGN

Post by Ariseldom »

Hello everyone,
if you're looking to dust off “Sanctus Reach” and dive back into the game, or if you're feeling a bit weary of skirmish mode, I’ve put together a small campaign, however just only to play missions in sequence. I've always enjoyed this game and I have played through all the campaigns, as well as a few missions created by other players.
The campaign is called “Outpost Z1T4”and consists of three missions.
For the final mission you'll need the DLC “The Red Waaagh”.
Please keep in mind that I’m not an expert, just a fan who wanted to create something for the community.
You can download the campaign as a zip file from this link:

[url/https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsFbdGJHUfQmdt5jsVh ... 4?e=hGhU0U]

*Uploaded a new version: fixed 2 small script issue; Now, when you start each mission, you will also see a simplified game map, similar to the one in the vanilla game, along with the objectives. However, I still prefer in-game messages, which are always present."

Once you’ve unzipped the file, you’ll find a folder named “Outpost Z1T4”. Simply copy and paste this folder into your campaign directory (e.g., for me, it’s located at C:\user\...\documents\my games\SANCTUS\CAMPAIGN).
If you’ve previously installed missions from other players, you should be familiar with where to place it.
Before you start playing, please take a moment to read the PDF file named “Campaign”. It contains brief and important information about mission objectives.
Happy gaming!.

Awesome! If I can suggest crossposting this to the Steam forum too - you'll probably get even more people interested there.

If it gets a decent amount of testing, then we can look at adding it to the ingame campaign listing.

Cheers

I've been having fun with this - thanks for sharing it.

On the first mission my first thought was "you gotta be kidding me...", but when I got into the thick of things I thought it was well balanced. I'm currently part way through the second mission and look forward to finishing it.

Maybe this was intentional, but I noticed my units weren't getting new abilities when leveling. If you did want to allow bonues, you can do so by adding in the BSF files by selecting them in the editor. On the left panel there is a star with the tooltip "Add Side Bonuses". If you select that, you will see ABILITY1.BSF and ABILITY2.BSF listed. Click on each of those to make them yellow, then save the mission. You have to do this for each mission in your campaign:

First of all, I am glad to know that you are having fun.
Regarding what you have said "Maybe this was intentional, but I noticed my units weren't getting new abilities when leveling...." well, it is true, I did it intentionally. As I mentioned in my first post I am not an expert, so all test has been done without this "bonus/ability", but now, thanks to your suggestion I know a little bit more. I will certainly take it into consideration on the second part of the campaign that I have already started.
Cheers,
ArI
