Help with Accidental "Retire"

Post by choppinlt »

So I am playing in a MP game, and one of the players is a noob. He was having issues submitting his turn the other day, and apparently he was experimenting with different options. I started chatting with him on why he is listed as "idle" and I FINALLY figured out he pressed the "retire" option. He had no idea it meant quitting the game. We are about 30 turns in and have been playing now for over 3 weeks...no one wants to start over. He is still listed in the game with "Idle" status, is there a way we can add him back in? THANKS!

No.

There is no hot joining (this would be equivalent to what you ask), sorry. If you have features requests for the PBEM Server team, then I think it goes to the general forum.

Thanks Pocus, I figured that was going to be the answer, but I thought I would ask. The only thing that even gave me a glimmer of hope was that he was still listed in the game under "idle" status. I will go ahead and post the request as you suggest. While the need for hot joining has not been a major issue for me, I do think that it could add a lot to allow "hot" joins for a variety of reasons. One example is what happened here, the accidental retire, but also a player may lose interest or otherwise need to bow out and someone could step in, or a new player comes available, a player suffers a major setback and wants to rejoin as a different faction, etc, etc. Thanks again!
