turns half of suppression into kills
this is the Lethal Attack Hero, question where do i find my units suppression factor? under unit stats it says suppression 0, i know you get good results with heavy artillery but where do you find the units suppression factor and how much does over strength up the power of suppression resulling in more kills? thanks for any insight
Re: turns half of suppression into kills
Lethal Attack is for Art, Strats, and AA which provide mainly suppression.
For any other unit basically useless.

There comes a time on every project when it is time to shoot the engineer and ship the damn thing.

strats are Stukas?
Re: turns half of suppression into kills
Strats are Strategic Bombers, [B17,He111].
Look for 'SuppressingFire' trait.
Stukas are tactical bombers.

found the additional traits both positive and negative ones the new negative traits look tough

I think this trait is best for AA.
You really don't wait strat bomb and artillery kill too much unless your play style completely ignore equipment capture

'SuppressingFire' is a unit trait, not a player selected campaign trait.scorehouse wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 3:22 am found the additional traits both positive and negative ones the new negative traits look tough

If you have a decent understanding of how the game calculates damage given/received, I have selected "Arrogant" on occasion and do not find it that bad. In real, do you know how things will turn out? So it adds some realism to the game. I played AO40 with it and it wasn't a big deal.scorehouse wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 3:22 am found the additional traits both positive and negative ones the new negative traits look tough

Re: turns half of suppression into kills
which positive trait did you then pickup?
Re: turns half of suppression into kills
That's really a matter of taste in terms of how you like to play along with some other factors established by what you did in the previous DLCs (assuming you are importing your core).
I, for one, am not one of those who finds it enjoyable to spend a lot of effort surrounding/capturing large numbers of enemy units to acquire enough prestige to continue.
I like the following Positive traits, though I usually can't get them all at once.
Panzer/Infantry General - At this point of AO, you have a large core and all of those add up to really make a difference in terms of how many units you can deploy, and/or how much you can OS them.
Killer Team - I like heroes and they are one of my favorite aspects of the game.
Anti-Air Veteran - I may start not using this one moving forward. My AA units have high exp by this point as does my fighters. So when traits become harder to choose between, this is probably one that will now go unchecked.
Force Concentration - I love this one because I love using Heroes. Plus, it only costs one point.
Perimeter Control for a long while was one of my automatic picks. Now, I am leaving it off for a wide variety of reasons.
Industrial Connections - This one can be tricky. You have no control over what you get, and similar to limited stock of captured material you can sometimes find yourself running out. Hasn't found itself checked by me as of late.
Master of Blitzkrieg - Loved this one when the game first released. Liked the extra movement which comes in very handy for slow tanks that have only a 3 or 4 speed. The ability to cross minor rivers like they don't exist is a very handy bonus too. However, it too rarely gets chosen by me nowadays.
The one that intrigues me the most - but I haven't tried - is Aggressive Deployment.
Now, negative traits.
Slow Modernization and Trench Slog are my automatics and have been since SCW. After that I switch between Denied Artillery and Denied Air Force. If you captured a ton of good Russian artillery in Spain, you can get by without artillery for a long while. In AO40 I go with or in addition Denied Air Force. All of this requires some planning and luck to achieve. I upgrade all of my aircraft in AO39 so I don't need to in AO40. Then in AO41, I switch to no artillery. That is the one that will probably be automatic from now on.
Of course, you can always in the advanced options before launching a campaign increase the number of hero traits you get for free if you just want to experiment. Hope this helps!
