Can the Finns actually move south in this version, i.e. beyond Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega... and in the north: what about Arkhangelsk at the White Sea?

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS] [Turn 5]
Yeah, not fully sure how it works in this version, against the AI you lose prestige if an enemy bomber is able to stay above certain (German) cities at the end of your turn (i.e. if you can't shoot it down). At MP, the question might be if the Axis loses AND the Allies win prestige as well? As said, not sure...goose_2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 4:38 pmSo great, just absolutely great stuff here. Soviets Bombing Berlin, now that means bonus prestige, right?McGuba wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 4:27 pmThese islands were also used as a base for Soviet long range navy bombers for their air raids against Berlin in August 1941. These were conducted by a few planes only but did provide some propaganda success to Stalin at a time when the Red Army suffered defeat after defeat. Capturing the islands was important to make it harder for the Soviet bombers to reach Berlin as after that they had to travel a few hundred kilometers more from air bases near Leningrad and Moscow and could only take a minimum payload to increase their range.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 3:06 pm Strategically, I think the Germans had to take these islands otherwise they hadn't been able to control the central and northern Baltic Sea. It's maybe similar to Bornholm:

In this version, there are no restrictions for the Finns.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 5:53 pm Can the Finns actually move south in this version, i.e. beyond Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega... and in the north: what about Arkhangelsk at the White Sea?
But they cannot use transport (trains, airplanes, ships).
Also as in the single version. If the plane is over a hex with a cross, then the Axis loses prestige.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 5:57 pm Yeah, not fully sure how it works in this version, against the AI you lose prestige if an enemy bomber is able to stay above certain (German) cities at the end of your turn (i.e. if you can't shoot it down). Strategic map
We have concentrated the maximum number of troops on the Moscow direction.
Malta
In the western part of the Mediterranean, the hunt for the British fleet unfolded in the direction of Gibraltar.
A British aircraft carrier was spotted.
Africa
We note the increased activity of the British in the Mediterranean and the advance in the area of Tobruk on land.

We captured Novgorod.

We are blocking the Crimea, but it is not our primary goal.

In case you can already reveal, what is the reasoning behind leaving Crimea out for the time being?

Because he is strongly fortified.
And all the troops were aimed further.

Turn 9. In one step from Moscow
October 20, 1941
Weather: Rain and Dry
Strategic map
On the eastern front are two large groups of troops, Center and South.
Strategic Air map
The British feel very free in the skies of France.
The Soviet command at the last turn decided to conduct a strong air strike near Moscow on our ground units.
This is the biggest enemy air offensive that we have seen.
It also means that the Soviet Aviation was not dealt a mortal strike.
Africa
Everything seems quiet.
Our troops continue to sunbathe on the sun.

North
In the north from Petrozavodsk are fierce battles in the forests.
Tanks are not the best assistants here.
Centre
Soviet T-34 were seen.
Non-flying weather. Our aircraft went to the airfields.
Our troops broke through the last ring of defense in the west of Moscow. One step left ...
South
Forward units approached Rostov.
Our cavalry went to the Kerch area.
Odessa is ours.

November 4, 1941

I think this is very good progress for turn 10! Is there also a Soviet reserves trigger linked to Moscow around turn 11? Sevastopol might even be empty except for the Maxim Gorky Fort / Armored Coastal Battery...Intenso82 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:10 am Centre

I think in my game (as Allies), the capture of Sevastopol cost the Axis a high price.

France
This situation on the coast of France.
As you can see there are ships with mine symbols.
For minelaying.
One type is a regular mine and the other is bottom or magnetic.
Bottom mines can only be put in shallow hex.

North
A group of Russian troops was discovered to the east of Leningrad,
as well as several Russian units operating north of Petrozavodsk.
Centre
The battle for Moscow continues.
A group of Soviet units outside Moscow and even a heavy KV-1 tank were found.
Obviously, they will try to come to the aid of their comrades.
We used a tactical trick the encirclement of several enemy air units simultaneously. Do you remember THIS situation?
But this is not as effective a tactic as it seems
)
South
We take Rostov. The task is completed in 11 turns, instead of the planned 15.
The first stage is completed.
We found enemy tanks including T-34 and infantry.
In Crimea, we seem to have lost one cavalry.
There is a strong fleet of Soviets.
