Top of my hat: around 10 new German and around 12 Italian heroes and also new Italian medals and awards.

When you say new heroes you just mean new pictures correct? I haven't noticed any new abilities for the Germans.

What's the easiest way to review your bonuses for each unit? I have the base PanzerCorp game only at this point (so far)

Yea was curious weather the new heroes were actually new types, like ones with extra ammo or have advantages in the desert

With the unit highlighted, rght-click. Click the "battle history" tab. Hover your pointer over the hero pictures and a second later the bonus awarded to that unit appears (attack +2, etc.)

During deployment, this doesn't work, but if you have the unit highlighted and hit alt-click, you can get to the info.

Then what you want to do is re-name the unit. (Alt-n). I use names like "2.SS-Pz a+2,in+2,mv+1" - meaning 2nd "SE" Panzer unit with bonus awards of attack 2, initiative 2, and movement 1. Then when you are deploying and want the stronger attack, defense, movement, spotting unit in a certain crucial place, it's easy to find in your unit roster.

This is not longer correct in 1.10 we did a nice update regarding heroes in the UI.
- Heroes are now shown on the map as golden dots on unit's strength plates.
- In unit list it is now possible to hover hero portraits and see their bonuses in a tooltip.
Heroes you can have max. 3 per unit, you can see how many heroes you have on the battle map by 1-3 golden dots under the strength plate of the unit. The amount of combat modifiers the heroes give to that unit is displayed by a tooltip when you hit the unit list tab on the main UI, you can scroll through all your units, the ones with heroes show 1-3 portraits underneath, hover over this and you see the tooltip showing your combat modifiers of all the combined heroes give to that specific unit. On top when you Alt+Click; it will the Unit Details panel showing all your heroes portraits, medals and awards, battle history, transports, etc...

And for the real statistic fetish players, prior to a battle use Ctrl+Click to see the Extended combat prediction, showing all the dice-rolls and combat modifiers.
