Morat (Lombards) beat Captainwaltersavage (Visigoths with Byzantine allies) 60-49
Rolling, broiling scrap that could have gone either way. Lombard cavalry enabled a fast start on the left flank. But masses of archers and stubborn infantry were hard to shift on the right: and a strong Visigothic fightback made it tense until the last couple of turns.
Many thanks to Captainwaltersavage for a great game, played in an excellent spirit.

Aetius39 (Greek) defeats Barrold713 (Lydian) 49-21
The Lydian cavalry was negated pretty much throughout the match until one got a rear charge, but by then the Greek Hoplites had broken up the main Lydian lines. GG Barrold!

Aetius39 (Egyptian) defeats SawyerK (Kushite) 41-0
The Kushites attacked first, and didn't do much damage, while the return volley was hard on them. While weakening the archers, the Egyptians sent their foot across and attacked, finishing the battle. Bit of bad luck for my opponent early on not hurting many of my units. GG Sawyer!

Aetius39 (Median) defeats Warg1 (Skythian/Saka) 58-32
Really tough battle, Warg and his Skythians did much better than when I played them in the other game. Skythians seem to be the weaker army, but Warg did a great job of tying me down to almost a tie. In the end I had to scrape and scratch my way to a (barely) win. Great job playing Warg, and look forward to our next war.

TomoeGozen (Kingdom of Soissons with Germanic Foot Tribes allies) defeats telesien (Roman with Jewish allies) 68 - 37.
My superior auxilia and warbands managed to hold out just long enough on my left and centre to allow the combination of massed sub-roman foot , archers and cavalry to overwhelm telesians weaker left and deliver the coup de grace in the centre. It was really close until the final collapse with both sides suffering heavy losses along the main lines. The Kingdom of Soissons was also rather well served by their Germanic allies rallying from rout a few times!
thanks to telesien for a great game.

A tough , fairly indecisive , slog in the centre and on my left allowed my right of phoenicians and chariots to break through and win the game.
