U mean T-54-1 or Panzer III SK1 ??

If was Panzer III SK1, here some info

Two or three prototypes were produced during late 1942 and early 1943 by Saurer, base on Panzer III L/N. The suspension was altered to allow railway bogie wheels to be mounted on the belly to allow travel on railroad tracks. These wheels could be retracted. Modified to allow for railway wheels to be used on rail lines. Prototypes could go 100 kph. The wheels could be retracted into hull to allow for normal cross country movement. Saurer in Vienna carried out the development work on this project. The prototype was demonstrated on 20 October 1943.

Yeah, I was referring to the panzer. I was curious about its history combat, it seems it never saw battle.

Guille, have you already worked on an animation for the riflemen?
I’d like to use the sound of MountainX coupled with a less flashy variant of the InfantryX animation, so you don’t need to correct the offsets of the vanilla infantry with SMG fire. The Mountain animation doesn't look so well on the riflemen.

Horst: Let's see if I got you right... Would you mind checking this animation file for the Riflemen '39 icons? Thanks!

EDIT: Updated the animations files. At least, you should have one good animation file for Polish, British and German '39 infantry icons.

Tested with the Wehrmacht Inf 39: the positions of the upper two flashes look right, only the lower one looks somewhat far ahead from the rifle muzzle. The flashes still flicker too much like an SMG. I suggest you better cut & paste the flashes from MountainX to your positions. This possibly also make them flash more synchronous to the Mountain sound.

Horst: Ok, did some more testing... and it seems that the weapons muzzles positions is not alway the same. So, in the previous posting, I uploaded a small pack with three animations (base on the vanilla game Mountain one)

Rifleman39_1: Should be the "generic" (?) --> Tested with the British Inf39 icon
Wehrmacht39_1: Tailored to the Wehrmacht39 icon
Pol_Rifleman39_1: Tailored to the Pol_Inf39 icon

If you can, check them out, I think we should be getting closer. Have luck!

A request made by Akkula for its current work on a Soviet mod for PzCorps: The KV-1E up-armored heavy tank. Here is the whole pack, including the base icon, amsk and a bunch of camo variants for this vehicle in Soviet, German and Finnish options.
Compared to the "prototype" uploaded in Akkula's thread, this one has small detail improvements (some very bright spots were toned down on the glacis and roadwheels mainly).

I hope you like them! Enjoy!

Oh, yes! I have good stuff to make a Pzkpfw 756(r), te version which was fitted by the Germans with a 7,5 cm L/46 gun (the same as the Pz.IVF2) Stay tuned! Also I think I will release a KV-85 with reworked turret, because the vanilla one does not look right in my opinion... Also sharing the "new" turret, there is a KV-100 version, with (you guessed right) a 100 mm gun. In wikipedia I read that there was a prototye actually produced in late 1943/1944... So, a nice "What if?" Soviet unit.

Bebro: Thank you very much for your nice words! I am glad you liked those units, I really tried my best effort on them! :-)

Ok, another member of that family of fine heavy Soviet tanks, the KV-1... Here is a version of that tank that was captured by the Germans and fitted with a 7,5 cm L/43 gun, identical to the one installed on the PZ IV F2. This project had been waiting for a long time in my "to do" folder. Because I was focusing on the KV-1 and also because T2_2112 asked for it, I took it and finished it. Here is a profile from the model, a sample, and a complete unit pack with the regular variety of camo schemes and also the base icon and mask.

Cheers!

T2: Thanks for your quick thanking message, and also for that very interesting link... PLease, note I have just re-uploaded the pack, I modified the gun barrel y muzzle brake (oh, yes, I am a perfectionist). Sorry!

I hope you like the icon!

What's coming soon: There was also a nice beast that the Germans adapted for their use in the planned invasion of Malta: A KV-2, with an added commanders cupola... This will be a nice project also to make grow this nice tank family...

guille1434 wrote:Well, this is it, the release of the first complete pack of units for the "Rifleman '39" project. The first country is Poland. Where applicable, the Maxim machine guns were retouched and, I hope improved. You will find eighteen units (Including derivations and variants) for that country armed forces:

- Regular Infantry in '39 and '42 versions
- HW Infantry in '39 and '42 variants, also each one in direct and AA fire modes (4 units)
- Mountain Infantry in '39 and '42 versions
- Engineers also in '39 and '42 variants
- Maxim HMG unit, in direct and AA fire modes
- Cavalry in '39 and '42 versions, each one in mounted and dsimounted modes: 4 cavalry unit variants (Thanks Phcas for the idea!) :-)
- Paratroopers in '39 and '43 variants.

Bridge Enginneers are not included yet, because I want to find some time to finish my new style base icon in order to make a "standard" unit for all countries. So, that type of unit will be uploaded in a separate, muti-national pack sometime in the not so distant future.
I thanked you in the other thread, but I'll thank here anyways. You're my god, I love the work you do.

The Polish infantry is absolutely lovely. Rogatywka caps look definitely more Polish at this scale than the American-looking wz. 31 helmetactually worn in battle by most Polish forces in 1939 (rogatywkas were part of peace-time uniform). And using them for icons is not completely non-historical as some units were not issued the helmets during mobilisation. Plus rogatywkas are really easy to distinguish and the Polish forces look like part of one team. In reality the cavalry used the good ol' Adrian helmets and the armoured forces chose the WWI German Stahlhelm - it would be really easy to mistake them for Germans or French.

BTW, Poland did still have *some* Maxim MGs in stores in 1939, but most field units used Ckm wz.30, that is our unlicensed clone of M1917 Browning MG, but both were visually similar, so it's not a big deal.

There's only one tiny problem. I wouldn't expect you to work on the Polish infantry any more, I'm happy with how it looks, but just in case... There were only seven regiments in the entire Polish Army to use non-standard uniforms. These were the six regiments of Podhale Rifles (numbered 1 through 6) and the 49th Hutsul Infantry Regiment. In other words, all the Mountain Infantry units in Poland did not wear the Rogatywka cap. Instead, they wore a distinctive long coat and felt hats: kłobukin the case of Podhale Rifles and kraseniain the case of Hutsul Infantry. But I guess adding a long coat to an already-made unit icon would be too much of a hassle, wouldn't it.

And so that you didn't forget: thank you, I really appreciate the work you do.
