Bagatrix Andalusian managed a draw against EDB1815 with his Milanese army 49-51 in EDB's favour.

It was very tough for Milan to catch those pesky light Cav and the terrain favoured Anadalusia and her merry men
Great game fell a bit bad as in a few more turns EDB would have gotten 2 more units and won mind you my boys rallied so often it was getting embarrassing

Well played and a great game. The Andalusian's brought a swarm of skirmishers and handily ran off my light troops. The swarm of skirmishers were a sticking point at the end picking off pikemen and getting in the way! Worse for the Milanese I could not run down the routing troops and they started rallying like crazy!

It was a very tough, amazing battle...Lot of action, attacks and counterattacks... Milanese army had disadvantage in infantry (difficult to face Landsknecht Keils, unless you have Swiss Keils) , but a lot more cavalry... a good part of this force was well concealed behind a key hill in the battlefield... i expected some ambush force, but not a so powerful force.
Luckily for the Low Countries, some units of longbowmen held terrain more time than expected, against numerous cavalry charges... this allowed my Keils to finish his infantry... later (maybe two turns too late), the remaining (weakened) cavalry arrived in the focal point of the battlefield, but it was too late, without support of infantry.

Forces were divided by a deep stream with shallow hills on the Frankish left and Anglo-Saxon centre. Armies went strong on opposite flanks with Frankish heavy infantry supported by Lancers pushing forward on the right and multiple Huscarl units pushing through on the Frankish left. Frankish forces engaged on the right earlier than the Anglo-Saxon attack on the opposite flank and established a firm front. The Huscarl force was very threatening to the Frankish forces left to delay, but their initial charges were firmly rebuffed against the odds and it was this initial reverse that led to a decisive Frankish victory; the Huscarl right no longer had the time to impose themselves before the strong Frankish right rolled up the Anglo-Saxons deployed to block them. GG to lydianed and match would have been a lot closer had their well executed push on their left (but for unfavourable luck) made progress in time.

The Franks stalled and deflected the initial Sarmatian lancer attacks with heavy and light cavalry long enough for their Superior Warbands to push through the Sarmatian center. At the end of the match, several Sarmatian lancers were behind the Franks and starting to position for rear attacks so it was a close run game.
