christian Nubian figures

looking for a range of figures in 15mm for the nubian cavalry and the noble cavalry.

any hints?

Been struggling myself with this one for days.

Eureka do an Abyssinian range which should do but I'm not too sure about the mounted especially the protected light spear cav. Their range jumps from a virtually naked horsemen to a quilted horse and rider.

LKM have a dedicated line in Feudal castings.

Donnington, Isarus and Falcon have Blemye/Nobades that should work for the cavalry.

Good luck finding information for painting them. I am going to fake it with contemporary Arabish and Byzantinish colors, and some Coptic iconography.

There is one contemporary illustration of one in a distinctive yellow kilt trimmed white, from a Sassanid textile or painting.

The molded shields perplex me. Tooled leather? Embossed metal? Sculptors' fantasies? I am going nuts trying to get hard data on these guys. In the end they will be 92% in white or off white kilts I expect.
