A tough battle and closer than the score indicates. The Viking huscarls defeated most of the Indian Muslim spear and Indian close fighters facing them. Indian lancer charges and pursuits turned the tide late in the game. Well played.

Zawzgrzyt Georgian 1118-1144 + Seljuq Turkish (West) defeats random27 byzantine 1042-1071 61-44 (77-44)

A difficult battle for my mostly mounted army, fought in a very limited space. Georgians didn't really have a way to deal with the Byzantine skutatoi archers and also those Varangian terminators... however, the opponent also had a large mounted contingent, and in the chaotic whirlwind of the evading and pursuing cavalry, luck was more favorable to the Georgians.

This didn't really turn into a discussion. I'm not part of the TDC, whether as player or as admin, so I'm speaking from a general point of view (and solely my own) here: it's a delicate issue but I've been thinking about it and as far as I'm concerned, I'm fine with playing FoG2 games against any nationality. I understand and agree with not participating in sporting competitions against Russian teams and national teams, but here we're talking about individuals: fellow FoG2 players that in my mind are the same people that we played just a month ago. I respect everyone's standpoint though, but I really needed to write my thoughts here after having read in a Swedish newspaper about a Russian lady who runs a Russian restaurant here in Stockholm and after Feb. 25 started receiving threats, demanding her to "go back to where she came from". Hatred just because she happens to be Russian. Do we turn against our friends just because of their nationality or where they live? Again, I respect people's views and opinions on this topic and I am happy to erase this post if asked to. Take care and stay safe everyone!

The two armies met besides a lake. The Jewish right was able to break through the Thracian left, while the Thracian center demolished its counterpart. The Thracian right won its initial charge, but the Jewish irregulars retreated and regrouped in a forest. While the Thracian right and center swung to deal with the encircling Jewish right, the remnants of the Jewish left were able to rally and defeat enough of the trailing Thracians to win the day.
