FOG 325pt 25mm Competition at Valhalla - Sunday 21st June 09

Post by lionheartrjc »

A 325 point, 25mm Field of Glory competition.

To be held on Sunday 21 st June at Elles Hall Community, off Meudon Avenue, Farnborough, Hants.

The competition will consists of three rounds, starting at 10.00 a.m and finishing around 3.00 p.m.

1. Armies are 325 points.

2. The game is played with 25mm figures on 4' x 3' tables.

3. Terrain will be pre-set, based upon the terrain type chosen by the player winning the initiative. Terrain will conform to the following constraints: compulsory terrain pieces will only be standard size and instead of 2-4 optional terrain pieces, each player can only choose 1-2.

4. Armies may be chosen from any official Field of Glory Army List publication. Army list minima are halved. Battle group sizes however are unchanged. (i.e. Late Republican Romans which normally have to have 12-44 legionaries only have to have 6 legionaries. They however must still be deployed in battle groups of 4-8).

5 . Pre-battle initiative modifier: the number of bases of cavarly, light horse, camelry or light chariots is halved for getting the +1 or +2.

6. An army may choose to have only a single commander.

7. All other rules remain the same.

Entry is £5. Entries will be accepted on a first come basis, by sending an army list to be received by 15 th June 2009 and sent to Richard Jeffrey-Cook, Mabar, Blackheath Lane, Wonersh, GUILDFORD, GU5 0PN.

Great fun yesterday - thanks very much for organising it and lending me the figures Richard!

At 325 points it was most definitely FOGlite - but a great way to get stuck in to the game quickly.

I'll certainly try and make it for next year too.

Cheers

Pete
