Prestige Points Inaccurate

Playing in a Tourney game. My unit purchases are less that the subtraction to my Prestige Point balance. (example: I buy 3 units for a total cost of 900 points, yet the deduction to my Prestige balance is slightly more, like 940)

Is this a game flaw or am I missing a rule issue?
