The early battle was spent trying to avoid the Veteran Carthaginian spearmen. The legions proved their worth once more and held the line. The battle was won on the left flank as spears and cavalry combined to force back the Carthaginian cavalry and elephant flanking force. Once some units were able to slip behind the Carthaginian centre the damage was done. Some excellent holding work done by the raw legions once the first line started folding.

Fearing the massed ranged power of the Lithuanians and the rough ground dominating their side of the map, the Germans held back on the limited patch of open ground near spawn. A clash of skirmishers near a steep hill drew in more units, some of whom were on the open low ground. The German knights got some good charge luck in the open, and this allowed them to follow up into the dismounted archers who could not stand against them.

Good game to my opponent. Lithuanians with Baltic allies is one of the more unique lists in the game, and I look forward to seeing more of them.
