Re: conboy's campaigns
Thanks Gunny,
I sure appreciate the run-through, and am glad that you enjoyed it!
Now I can make some changes based on your comments and put this one to bed.
Thanks again!

Re: conboy's campaigns
Here is the link to the Operation Avalanche file.
Hope you enjoy it. You'd better set your Options/Preferences/"Pause game if window is not focused" to unchecked, because the later two scenarios AI is very boggy because of so many German units. But it plays like I want it to and if you have patience I think you will like it. By the way, this is a very difficult campaign on Level III.

Sec Obj Salerno
Please check off obj down 8 German planes. It's marked as complete at start.

Salerno
There are 2 sec objs dealing with German fighters. What's the difference?
At least one British supply ship is a core unit. Intended?
RAF loses resources quickly, more so than the other factions.
It goes down to 7 early on and stay like that the rest of the scenario. I wonder if as trigger sets it t0 7 instead of increasing it?
The faux ighter trip back to Sicily is a one-way trip. This encourages the player to use them until they drop from the sky.
Nicely balanced scenario. I got a MV at turn 10/12. The end graphic seems to be missing.

Mascarenhas,
It seems I had the counter set incorrectly, it counted all Allied kills on the Germans, so as soon as the Germans lost 8 units, the trigger actuated. Easy fix, thanks for pointing it out.
Erik, thanks for pointing out the other errors.
Thanks, Guys!

I added exit hexes for US Fighters from Sicily, and set the anti-aircraft cruiser as non-core.

Conboy,
thanks for your great work. I am playing the 3rd ID Campaign right now. Which difficulty is it supposed to be played?

Re: conboy's campaigns
Hi Lynxcom,
It's designed for an intermediate player on level 3 to beat most of the timelines by one or two turns.
I think you would enjoy on either 3 (somewhat easy for you) or 4 (interesting for you). Maybe even 5 but I hate that, just takes more time and introduces an undesirable stress factor.
I was gonna be a smartass and say turn it up to 11 given the way you whipped me the few times we played ...
Thanks for playing,
Please let me know how it goes!

Re: conboy's campaigns
Salerno phase 2
The campaign location marker is at sea.
Also it is missing flags/core marker and arrows.
Why is 'take 4 sec objs' placed under pri objs?
10 turns may be a trickle short, especially when ypu play the scenario the first time. two more turns would be fine.
Message 'US fighters' shows a British fighter.
Also, focus the message on the spot where 'more will arrive'.
Victory pic missing.

Re: conboy's campaigns
I second Erik on Salerno II's number of turns. It took me 13.

Salerno phase 2
Campaign markers missing.
One of the gunboats on the Solorone river is actually beached on the crossroad. I don't think these have any function anyway, even as decor they look odd.
The British have a habit of running out of resources since they are te main German target.
Pretty intense scenario
Got a major at turn 8/15.

Re: conboy's campaigns
Erik,
Dang right the gunboats look out of place! At least they weren't in the way of the action. I made some place name changes after the last playthrough and musta did a bad click or two.
So I have to extend scenario two a few turns, add some British RPeez in the last scenario, do some housekeeping in the Campaign Editor, and it's a wrap after I hear back from one or two others.
Thanks again!

Hiya conboy (happy new year)
If I download the latest version will my save games still be ok?
Not had a chance to get back to it recently as I'm in the tourney and beta test.

Hiya stevefprice,
Changing the scenario usually fouls up the objectives (at minimun) when you restart a saved game.

Re: conboy's campaigns
I think it is better to restart the scenario you are currently playing. You keep your core etc.

Wow looks nice. Intro works fine, but when loading first Torch mission, the load just never ends. What to do?
