Re: First Time Control check is on Sunday 25th October . . .
I have spoken to melm and I am going to replace him in the tournament as I see no prospect of him being able to complete his matches in time. There are two vacancies and I will fill them as quickly as I can. I know that LuciusSulla is definitely available to play in Late Antiquity.

Division D
Aetius39 (Bosporan) defeats Doyley50 (Roman) 60-38
This was TOUGH. The Romans are superior and resilient. The Bosporan infantry stayed back and awaited the Roman onslaught, while the cavalry ventured out and met theirs. Bosporan cavalry was better and it showed; they routed most of the enemy cavalry and later turned around and helped flank and fight the remaining Roman infantry. The Roman infantry was better and it showed; they pushed back and started decimating the Bosporan line. Luckily the Bosporans hid one irregular in the small forest and it managed to flank one of the Roman infantry. This and having the more numerous Bosporan line spread out helped thin the ranks a bit in the Romans. Nevertheless, my opponent's capable playing and the constant regaining of cohesion made this a very hard match, and although the Bosporans won in the end, they were battered and worn out. Thanks a lot to my opponent for playing, GG!

Division E
Morat (French/Vikings) beat Tratmot (Poles/Russians) 48-15.
French cavalry got the upper hand on the Poles, and then flanked the infantry battle in the centre. It felt much closer than the score suggests - the Poles had very little little luck at all in this.
Thanks to Tratmot for a good game.

Division C
kraff (Kushan 130 BC-476 AD) beats Challenge1 (Germanic Foot Tribes 260-599 AD with Roman 379-424 AD allies): 63-49
Tough challenge. Only arrow shower and careful maneuvering followed by flank attacks allowed me to win this one against superior numbers and armour. 1 point more for my opponent and this would be just a minor win. If not for elephants this would probably be my defeat or at most a draw. Thank you for the battle, Challenge1.

Pool A Group 1
Triarii Cypriots beats Ianiow Egyptian 50-20
In both matches the Egyptians seemed rather ineffective - preventing the Cypriot advance rather like speed bumps act. The only difference being the number who had continued running away at the close of play.
Thanks to Ian for both games.

Triarii - Carthaginian (Hannibal in Italy) 216-103BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies defeats desertedfox - Macedonian 328-321 BC 62-58
Tough on desertedfox as the only break that could happen did in the final turn. A veritable see-saw of a battle.

Hannibal becomes Pyrrhus. It was that close and down to turn 23/24 a draw in anything except score.

Division A
harveylh - Gallic 300-101 BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies defeats desertedfox - Macedonian 328-321 BC, 44-6
A Macedonian pike block withdrawing failed its cohesion check and that undid the Macedonian left flank where they had an advantage.

Re: Any questions . . .
Hi all.
Rob123 convinced me to join the Digital League. I'm french and all these post lost me a little.
I want to play biblical period if it s possible.
So, it seems that all tournaments have already begun.
You can count me for next one.
If I understand, players concerned set games, it is not automatic. Am I right?
Thank you
