OoB and Red Steel v8.4.4 MAC, not working

After downloading v8.4.4 for Mac and purchasing Red Steel, there is no enjoyable playing anymore. The screen is much wider, and nothing readable really, seems like
everything in mini. Speed of movements down to extremely slow, and fiddling with resolution does not change anything. Most disappointing.
