Amphibious attack question

Post by marek1978 »

Hi guys, sorry for the dumb question. Being ageod veteran I am struggling with certain aspects of FOG mechanics
I am planning amphibious operation. I want to transport my army on my fleet ( as I am afraid of enemy’s interception)

Is there a way to diseambark army from fleet in a one move? The way it was done in old AGEOD games? Or do I need to sail to sea region and then manually divide my army and fleet and move land forces on the ground?
What are best ways to conduct amphibious warfare?

BTW – FOG is a great game.

You can keep the fleet and army as separate stacks, but move them together. The warships will cover the transports as long as they're in the same sea region when combat occurs.

The way movement in the game works is that every stack expends 1 MP, moves if it has expended enough MP to get to the next region, then it repeats until all stacks are out of MP - units with more movement points don't move faster, they just keep moving longer, so if you arrange both the transports and the escorting stack to arrive in the same region at the same time and then continue along the same route, they'll move in a coordinated fashion.
