A Usurper or not a Usurper?

Post by Morbio »

I realise this may be cosmetic, but what do you think?

In one of my games Carthage went into civil war, ultimately Carthage Usurper won and the original Carthage was defeated, lost all cities and units... However the Carthage empire is still called Carthage Usurper.

Generally, these usurpers claim to be the real chief/king/emperor and are restoring the country to it's former greatness and values. Using Carthage as the example: Surely the victorious leader would consider themselves and their armies as 'Carthage' and when there civil war is over they would expect to be considered as Carthage.

I think it would be nice if the usurper tag was removed when the civil war was over.

Would this be a hard thing to change?

I recently absorbed Carthage. They had already had a civil war and there was a Carthage Usurper still in existence with one region. Numidia lost a region which became a new state called Carthage. So we were back to having a Carthage and a Carthage Usurper. Carthage declared war on me so I took their region. So now there was no Carthage, just a Carthage Usurper which soon captured a couple of independent regions and changed it's name to Carthage. We got there eventually.
