Play as the other side?

Hi

Is it easy to switch the side you can play in campaigns or scenarios, ie play as the Japs in the Burma campaign?

I am not familiar with the editor and do not want to screw anything up.

It is basically doable, but creates quite some amount of workload, and I'd say it needs some experience as the game has many scripted elements, which you need to adjust so they work for the other side then.

Also the balance may be off after you switch sides without changing anything on the units placed or available for deployment.
