Wessex banners

Post by Scrumpy »

Now the Anglo_Danish army lists are almost upon us over in the former colonies I am dusting off my Anglo-Danes for another crack at those pesky Normans. Spear uphill v Knightly lance sounds an idyllic ++ in impact !

Has anyone suggest a website that could give me descriptions / pictures of the banners used by Harold & his brothers at Hastings ?

I believe the long man of Cerne could have been one, as could the Wessex Wyvern.

Cheers
