North
The remaining defenders of Leningrad continue to fight.
Centre
It looks like the enemy has lost all interest in Vologda.
Taking advantage of the fact that the rivers were frozen, the enemy launched a strong tank attack north of Moscow along the Volga River.
Moscow, closer.

Can you take a "strategic" screenshot of the whole front? To take a look at the general situation.

Moscow in the hands of the enemy.
We are starting an offensive in the south.
The command believes that this will be able to help ease the onslaught of the Axis offensive against Moscow.
In addition to the distraction operation, if successful on the southern flank, may be removed the threat of Moscow.
And the whole Army Group Center will fall under the flank attack and will be forced to move away from Moscow.
Centre - Air
Axis aviation controls the sky over our troops and Moscow.

In the south there are battles.
In the north, the Germans advanced slightly using a large number of tanks.
in the north, the advantage of the enemy. in the south, we have a slight advantage in armored vehicles.
In the air,
our aircraft received orders to attack enemy tanks.
And stop his attack at any cost.

The partisans are detaining German reinforcements for the south of Moscow.

The enemy launched an offensive in the south.
This is probably the answer to our offensive south of Moscow.
Our aircraft is storming the enemy units.
Black Sea
A fleet in a decentralized position at sea to reduce air strike losses.

This looks really bad: Leningrad and Moscow taken, still huge German forces in the area that can converge on the Southern Front. Is the fall of those two major cities decisive for the outcome, or do you think Soviets could recover?

You're right, the situation does not look very good.StuccoFresco wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 4:49 pm This looks really bad: Leningrad and Moscow taken, still huge German forces in the area that can converge on the Southern Front. I think that the loss of Leningrad is not critical.
At the same time, the loss of Moscow is more important in the long term.
Moscow is a big railway hub.
In this version of the scenario, there are no railways from Siberia, the Urals to Stalingrad or the Caucasus.
I think this will be fixed in the next version.
And also there are no railways to some cities behind Moscow.
Therefore, to get to many places is possible only through Moscow.
This greatly limits the transportation of reinforcements. Even if you only have two trains
That is, I think that the loss of Moscow will lead to fragmented local defense. Because the speed of the Soviet troops is very slow.
And a solid front line is only possible on rivers.
On natural barriers.
Therefore, although the battle for Moscow is already about 20 turns, I was not going to give it so easily
Despite the fact that the Axis taking all the VP has probably already received the prestige award for Moscow, the importance of controlling the hexes does not make much sense.
I also knew from past games in BE mod that Leningrad provides about 25% of reinforcements and Moscow about 33%.
And the control zone of Moscow is considered not only VP, but also the nearest airfields. For example, the eastern airfield which I control so far.
In general, if I could repel it, then I would get all the reinforcements that have accumulated in the queue.
But it seems that in the multiplayer version, the percentage of reinforcements has been changed.
McGuba knows this better. Probably now more reinforcements are coming regardless of whether Moscow, Leningrad and Baku are captured.
As for the operational situation, I have accumulated some reserves in the south of Moscow. And also concentrated some units on the southern front.
