Feeding extra bases into a melee
If a Battle Group charges into a line of BGs such that it is fully in contact with one BG can it then expand on one side so that it contacts another BG that would be providing overlap support to the BG it is facing?

IMO yes.daveallen wrote:If a Battle Group charges into a line of BGs such that it is fully in contact with one BG can it then expand on one side so that it contacts another BG that would be providing overlap support to the BG it is facing?
I might need to recheck the rules but off the top of my head this is fine. Not allowing it would lead to some pretty cheesy situations.
It is interesting if the overlap are troops capable of evading as they can be 'sucked in' to a melee they really don't want to be in.

Haven't we done that one before - LF was the example - and the answer was no an overlap cannot evade.

I don't meant to be dense on purpose

Evade is a charge response and is not available if the base moving to contact is being fed into the melee as opposed to charging into contact.
