Hold (active, fire) - what's the difference?

Hi, what is the difference between these too? And passive?

Hi Daniel,

Hold position active: unit can move and/or fire at an enemy unit within its LOS.
Hold position fire: unit never moves (except when forced out) but might attack an enemy unit adjacent to it.
Hold position passive: unit never moves (except when forced out) and only returns fire when attacked by the enemy.
