HELP - Midway

I have tried at least 5 different times to complete the midway scenario. My latest attempt i was sure I would get , i sunk all but 1 carrier, they have no planes left, midway invasion was stopped, i lost no carriers and still i get a defeat

i found this on the steam site(my game is not from steam but should not make any difference)

If you think you should have won, but got a defeat message, you can continue your campaign by:
Opening the auto save from just before the defeat an pressing SHIFT+C. Type #igotnukes into the console.
This will give you the victory, and any secondary objectives you had accomplished, so you can continue your campaign.

I did this on the last auto save of save game 35 and click on continue to finish the last round that the japnese have as they are escaping off the map

Still a defeat

Also, if the cheat is correctly inserted you should not have to click end turn again. Clicking "confirm" in the cheat console should give a victory right away. Make sure you type (or paste) #igotnukes exactly like this - with hashtag, no spaces or capitals.

Well, is that not interesting.
I just tried again
I was unable to paste the #igonukes into the console so again like yesterday i types it in and clicked confirm and waited this time i got a Victory screen. I wonder if perhaps i started back too quick, I clicked on the end turn and expected to see the Victory message after the Japanese turn 35
Anyway knowing i had to wait perhaps was the difference

BTW great game i have always been looking for a Panzer general game for the pacific, I love the naval component
