Campaigns Multiplayer

I tried to set up my first multiplay scenario with a friend last night. After he accepted the challenge I got an email telling me my first turn was waiting for me. After examining the units I hit the check mar expecting to go to the deployment screen, but instead got a message saying that my turn was being uploaded.

In short, the first turn in multiplayer didn't let me do anything but look at my units. That can't be right, can it?

It depends on the scenario. If it is one of the historical scenarios which does not allow your side a choice of units, this is how the engine works.
