Constant problem/error when playing

Hi all,

I love the game I really do, but I keep getting this error no matter what I do. But it always appear to occur when a unit attacks either my own or the AI.
Can someone please help with this problem so I can actually complete the first Act and not having to keep starting over again due to this error.

Please do the following:

Uninstall the game. Reinstall it again, but this time install in a different folder than C:\ Program Files (x86)\.... Install it instead in a folder like for example C:\Games\....

then re post if it is working now for you, making sure your using version 101, the latest version

I'm using it via steam and the message says: "*** Unhandled Exception! ExpCode: 0xC0000005 Expflags: 0 ExpAddress: 0x00000000 Please report"

Not sure on the version but steam says the current BuildID is 454337.

It seems to me as a problem with sound (codec).

I used to have this exact same error when trying to open a custom scenario.

I fixed it ( i think ) by changing the number of unit slot avaible on this scenario.

I don't really think if it can help you but at least that was how i fixed it in my example.
Did you change something on the data/files ? or you just played the game ?

We have a few reported crashes which we are looking at. If you can give us anything specific or repeatable that would help and if not try when you get an update and it may fix the issue.

I keep getting the same Unhandled exception. It usually appears when I attack an enemy unit. But sometimes when an enemy unit attacks mine.

No, I am playing on ASUS laptop under Win7.

Please try the following:
Open the folder where the game is installed and rename the subfolder "Audio" as "_Audio".
Run the game and check if the issue persists.

I will try. Though I have to note that this crash is not constant. Sometimes it doesn't appear for the whole mission, and sometimes I get 3 or 4 crashes. You never know.

random ones are the hardest to fix, next time see if event viewer has any errors in it ans post those

doesn't work
the game crashes at the start. Maybe if you could provide an archive with mp3s as you did for PanzrCorps, it would do the job.
