Deleting and Moving Units?

Post by VR_Nocturne »

I read some documentation (admittedly for BA1) that mentioned how to rotate, move, and delete units.

R = Rotate (this works)

Shift key with cursor over unit and Drag = Moves units (can't get this to work, I've tried shift-click and drag, shift-right click and drag - no luck)

Delete Key with cursor over unit = Delete Unit (can't get this to work for units - works like a charm for objects)

Fortunately, the unwanted rogue squad got summarily removed by going into the .BAM file itself (thank God it's in plain text!) and it was the last unit I placed so easy to delete that entry, but there's got to be a way within the editor I'm just missing. Right?

Until then, I'm saving after every batch of units (probably a good habit in general :P )

P.S. is there a list of keyboard shortcuts for the editor anywhere? In my attempt to figure out how to delete the rogue squad, I found that "F" = Fixed/Unfixed, X shows a very zoomed out view of the map like on the Briefing/Force Buy screen, the WSAD convention for moving the camera works here, Q and E rotate the map. Up and Down arrows zoom the map (very useful, too).

For units you need to hold the DELETE key then click the unit. We probably should have rationalised some of the editor controls, it's true. Dragging units works for me - you need to be in unit mode, hold SHIFT, then hold and drag the unit.
